With over 26 years of residence in Orlando and dual experience as an insurance agent and community communicator, Paulo is one of the most recognized voices in the insurance market serving the Brazilian immigrant community in the United States.
Graduated in Graphic Design from the School of Fine Arts of São Paulo (1997-2001) and with a postgraduate degree in Marketing from ESPM (São Paulo), Paulo began his journey in the United States as a media entrepreneur: in March 2007 he founded Nossa Gente LLC, a publication that for over 18 years has celebrated Brazilian culture and identity in Orlando. This dual experience—community journalism and insurance—has given him a unique understanding of the real needs of Brazilian families settling in Florida.
His career in the insurance industry began in October 2016 as an agent for Florida Blue, one of the state's largest health insurers, and in January 2017 he joined Assureline Insurance as a licensed agent. Since then, he has accumulated over 8 years of uninterrupted experience serving Brazilian, Hispanic, and American families, with a focus on individual and family health insurance.
Paulo is a certified specialist in Medicare (Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Medicare Part D) and in Obamacare (Affordable Care Act), meeting the annual training requirements of the CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services). Together with Monica Franchi Souza, he achieved Elite Plus status from the Health Insurance Marketplace (Obamacare) from the first year the award was established, maintaining the title every consecutive year, by enrolling over 500 consumers during Open Enrollment.
The duo is responsible for over 10,000 marketplace enrollments since the agency began operations. In addition to his work as an insurance agent, Paulo is the official Registered Agent for Assureline with the state of Florida (Sunbiz) and actively participates in the Brazil-Florida Chamber of Commerce (CFBACC).
As publisher of Nossa Gente, he produces bilingual educational content aimed at guiding Brazilian immigrants on rights, responsibilities, and best practices when purchasing insurance in the United States.
